The only thing that would’ve made it even better was an epilogue at the end.

Not even for Lola and Oliver… 😉īottom line, I give this novel 4,5 stars. Thankfully, Oliver is patient and willing to take things one step at a time for Lola.īut everyone knows that once that – often thin – line between lovers and friends is crossed, there’s no going back to how things used to be. And Lola learns a very big lesson as well – to finally let someone in completely. The transition is slow (but definitely not boring!), building up to that one moment when they just say screw it and, well, screw each other. As is the case for all of Christina Lauren’s books, chapters switch back and forth between Lola and Oliver’s POV which beautifully reveals their feelings towards each other.įriends turned lovers is a very common subject, but Christina Lauren has done this remarkably well. I lost count of the times I gasped and slid down to the edge of my seat while reading. The sexual tension in the novel is insane. Her graphic novel is being turned into a movie and she’s got a deadline for another graphic novel. When they finally do decide to dive into the deep together, turning harmless and playful flirting into actual flirting, they can’t get enough of each other. That’s she’s only into him, but he’s not into her. But after Oliver blatantly said no to having sex with Lola after their drunken wedding, Lola is afraid that maybe it’s one-sided. And they’re both attracted to each other. Lola, a graphic novel artist and Oliver, a comic book shop owner. It’s the third book in a series, but since each book focuses on a different couple, they can be read as stand-alones.Īfter their drunken marriage, Lola and Oliver get a divorce but that’s not the end of their bond.

The latter is the couple Dark Wild Night focuses on. One drunken night, they all end up married to each other, creating three couples Mia and Ansel, Harlow and Finn, and Lola and Oliver. The Wild Seasons series tells the tales of two groups of friends, three women and three men, who all went to Las Vegas together. I finished the book a few days ago and I’m still daydreaming about Oliver, the male lead in the story. Dark Wild Night, the third novel in the Wild Seasons series, is a steamy and emotional read that will give you many feelings you won’t know how to deal with.
